I'm not gonna tell you it's "fine" because it's not, but under lower boost and lower RPM ranges 90 is "OK". Also I don't know the condition of your car, if fuel delivery is in tip top shape then you'll be even better off, but never "fine." Get some toluene (and read about the slight handling dangers) and add it.

Well what are all the california guys doing now that they only get 91 octane? Im sure there is a way to use 91 and still be able to drive your car hard or mod it up.

We deal with it, for the most part. Some people are willing to pay $4 - $5 for 100 octane gas that's limited in availability to a few gas stations scattered over the state.

Personally, I run ~12-12.5 psi on the street w/ a PFC on 91 oct. It runs fine.

What are the signs of one needing more octane in their gas?
I would assume all the people running 350rwhp are running 91 octane?

Check Unocal's website. They have a few gas stations in L.A. that carry high octane race fuel. There's a place in Corona where the 15 and 91 meet that sells race gas too. Got 5 gallons for 104 Octane for about $25. As for 91 octane, I've run up to 14psi w/o any problems.

How about av-gas at a local airport? Or is it only leaded?

well here in Japan we can only get 89 octane or we can purchase the 105 stuff for a VERY expensive price on the local economy. Our three 500 hp FD's in our car club all run 89 octane all the time...so I don't see a problem with it...however, my measely 300 hp FD seems to run WAY better with the 105 stuff

I thought you guys got better gas than that in Japan... or is that just on post?
Same thing here, my single turbo FD runs on 89 octane fuel in Korea but the Haltech and low compression rotors help me just a little
