8.3sec 1/4 time at 170+ mph with 1.3sec 60 foot time

Stopped by my friends shop yesterday to give them the heads up that my new street port motor from Pineapple and the BNR stage threes should be showing up any day now and found out that he had finally got his 2nd gen. drag car up and running. Those numbers are from his best run of the day while he was qualifing for his pro license and with out using the nitrous system.
It's my understanding that the next time out he will start testing with the nitrous. Can't even imagine what those numbers will look like.

Did they strip the interior or do major weight reductions?

Because a fast 7 is a fast 7. Who cares what model it is. :-)

OK, just got of the phone with on off the guys who works at the shop and he gave me some more info. Mike who owns/runs the car is out with a messed up foot from water skiing so I did not get to talk to him.

The car is an 1st gen. with a Jspec motor running alcohol, 8 injectors, full Motec and a huge Turbonetics turbo. It will run in the pro modified class in NHRA. They are putting together a web site right now. www.loweperformance.com
