I came across an interesting ad I thought I'd share. If you REALLY want a sequential tranny, these guys look like they'd be pricey, but they say they sell a gearset for 6 speeds:

As i remember the HKS one is $8000. I rather go with the HKS one. Just $1600 more

The Quaife is probably easier to get my mits on, hehe. I understand Quaife makes quality stuff.

My question, though - how streetable is it? I want something that is not hard to live with, other then on a race track..

Dog gears crash boxes (no syncrhos) are not very streetable. Need to really rev match to up/downshift. The "cheaper" 6-spd is not sequential, I believe. They quoted me $15-17K for the sequential 6-spd crash box. But you need a Tilton clutch/flywheel ($$$$) and an Escort/Sierra bell-housing to clear/mate with it (more $$$$). The Quaife rep told me "strictly for racing purposes only".

Anyone know how to put the M3 SMG in instead?

Yeah, you're right ... that's not the sequential tranny being advertised because I saw the pricing in the $17K range a couple years ago AND the advertisement for the sequential is right under the gearbox in question ... "RWD applications also available" and they start from $14,895.

Yes yes ... HKS.

Also, isn't there a company in Australia that makes a kit to mount a JZA80 gearbox to the FD?

My question about the Australian company that makes a kit to put a JZA80 gearbox in a FD is... how hard would it be to make it fit? If they had a website, post it up so we can take a look for ourselves. That's something I'd be interested in doing also.
