Question 51R battery and greddy FMIC

I am still in the process of installing my greddy FMIC and now 90% of the way, the 51R battery I got doesn't fit. It doesn't sit in all the way down with in the stock position...(won't clear the fan shroud) and if I sit it sideways, it rubs up against the fan motor and engine pulley.
Do you guys know if I can get a longer radiator mount? Or a way to fabricate one? If I move it forward, the A/C canister would get crushed??

Any suggestions????

BTW, is there a smaller battery that can be used instead of the 51R??

If you park in a garage as I do, attach a trickle charger to it every night and then you will not have any problems with it! Been using them for 4 years and am on only my second battery. Never got strandit.

audiobot said his dies out in 2-3 without charging.

Here's how I mounted my battery in with my Greddy FMIC. I'm pretty sure it's a 51R.

My temp stays around 87-90C which is about where the thermostat starts to open and the radiator isn't covered up. The highest I've seen is 101C which is well within the saftey limit but that was after sitting in bumper to bumper traffic in 92 degree weather for 45 minutes with the air conditioning at full blast. Once I got out of the traffic and turned the AC off it went back down to 88C.

I put a 51r yellow top in the driver side bin and it did require that I cut the bin but afterwards It worked out great. Just just 4 gauge wire. more than enough to start the vehicle and easy to wire in a system. Any on top of that I have left the vehicle without starting it for 2 months and she started right up. Great battery.
