4000RPM 5th gear hesitation - cruising

I have a strange hesitation while cruising at 100mph, and only 100 mph give or take a few miles, and only in 5th.

While cruising for a while when i accelerate gently, I get a fuel cut feeling, then after about a second, the car pulls normally. It's not every time though, mainly if I have been at 100mph for a bit first.

Could this be linked to the 2-3k hesitation? I am getting this too since I changed ECU. The cruising problem was there even with the old ecu

BTW, I searched "hesitation" and did not see any posts with this type of hesitation

Thanks

For what it's worth, your o2 sensor handles things at part throttle when crusing, up to around 3,800 RPM. Your problem seems to start right around the "hand-off" to the stock ecu maps. How old is your o2 sensor?

I don't know how old the o2 sensor is. I just bought the car. I will change that as soon as I can
