Smile 3rd gen shops

Has anyone had any experience with Tripoint Engineering?
Are they better than Mazdatrix?
What about this shop called Rotary Power in Gardena?

Sorry I'm asking all of these questions, i'm just a newbie & there are so many questions I have to ask to get caught up!! I appreciate all of your time, thanks.

i was told that tripoint is very good (also pricey)
i actually went to mazdatrix and they sell oem/aftermarket parts (not really a shop)
and i've called rotary power a few times, they seem pretty cool.

personally, i go to R&R Rotary in La Verne.

Mazdatrix: http://www.nrx7club.com/vendors/vendor.asp?id=1

Never heard of 'Rotary Power' in Gardena, but if anyone wants to leave their info and rate them, go right ahead: http://www.nrx7club.com/vendors/addeditvendor.asp

Thumbs up I've been using Tri-Point

I got my high mileage FD in late November... since then I've had Tri-Point replace the primary fuel injectors, pulsation dampener, vacuum hoses (with silicone), and radiator (with Fluidyne). All the work checks out so far... but I haven't driven too far yet.

Mark is a real friendly guy who talked me through whatever I wanted to know. However, they are very pricey and they do mark-up parts.

Just my too sense

I hope no more people start going to Rotary Power.
Its nearly impossible to get in there as it is. Jeff builds the engines of some of the most powerfull FD's in the world. I hope everyone stays away from them so I can get an apointment for christ sake. I used to go to Tri-Point, then one day Jeff and Alan fixed some things TP couldn't diagnose. Now at Rotary Power, I spend half the price and get twice the craftsmanship. Makes my FD almost affordable. Easily one of the most honest and smartest guys I know of for our cars. I have heard good things about MazdaTrix too. I have bought stuff from them, but had no mechanical work done.

No offense to TP, there's always more than one way to aproach a given problem. Their just not the only boys on the block and they charge WAY too much for most stuff. I have seen the light, never looked back.

my 2cents,

-j
