3rd gear loss in power?
hey guys i remember seeing a thread like this on here but i cant seem to find it, i searched for a while. anyways just wondering, is it normal for boost not to hit as hard in 3rd gear?? im thinking there might be a leak somewhere..
ohh and a newbie question, whats 10-8-10? and wud that be the reason why it doesnt boost as much as the rest of the gears?

There is nothing about 3rd gear that should change the way it boosts. However it's probably the gear where you boost hardest, meaning that I would consider boost issues related to maximum load.
Do you have a boost gauge? If you look in the FAQ you'll see how to interpret a boost pattern and look for 10-8-10.

ya if you search for boost pattern you will find alot of stuff, but basically the primary turbo gets up to 10psi then the second one spools and you drop to 8psi basically just to not overboost then both are brought back up to 10psi
and 3rd gear is where usually you test the boost pattern so if you are loosing power there, i am sure its a vac leak which well really sucks !!!
