Like I said earlier, I haven't gotten any dyno numbers. I run 19 lbs around town on pump gas. I have yet to pour in race gas and turn it all the way up. I will soon enough.

It could be that you hit higher than 31psi but that the map sensor only read that high.

Yes, I had 93 octane in the tank when it spiked to 31 psi. I guess it could have gone higher, I've got a 3 bar map sensor.

You are running water/methanol injection, correct?

I was running methanol injection for a few months but dumped it. I wanted to get my combo figured out before I add something else.

I've been running 1.35 bar on pump gas since late last summer with no problems.

lack of fuel cut != responsible tuning

Jeff48 tuned my car. He tuned it for 1.35 bar on pump gas. He fattened up the map above 1.35 bar just in case something like this would happen. I would suggest this to anyone.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet (5 pages about a coupler!!!), but the coupler could have been damaged by a hose clamp or something. A slice in silicone will spread very easily.

Lupe, I remember seeing your post regarding your wiring problem, what did you do to fix it?

Yes, the coupler must have been pinched or something. I'm going to use something heavier this time ( Silicone hose from the local deisel shop ).

I re-wired the whole drivers side of the car to find out that there was not a break in the wires. Although one map sensor wire did short out when the tire rubbed, it was not entirely damaged. What did happen though, the wire shorting out caused my power fc to reset all it's values and this caused the weird boost readings. Jeff48 came up and we loaded up my old map and that's all it took, problem fixed.

I would suggest a fuel cut to anyone running a rotary engine. For what ever reason, if I boost 0.Xpsi over what I want too, the engine saves itself...but each to their own

My guess on what happened is that the t-bolt either wasn't torqued down enough, or that coupler was put over an oil contaminated/ improperly prepped pipe. When the pipe pulled itself free from the coupler, that is when the shredding occured. Just my theory. Can't wait to figure out what all the secrecy regarding time or power is about. You trying to sneek up on someone? Looks like your building a high 8 to mid 9 second car. Smelled like race gas to me at the Rotary Revolution. Man, your ports sounded HUGE!!!! Got any pictures of your engine bay prior to the incident?

Eric doesn't report horsepower numbers because they aren't nearly as impressive as he wants everyone to think that his Kai T51-R is, and he doesn't report his track times because they're considerably slower than a car that looks as purpose-built for the drag strip as his does should produce. He just reports boost numbers and lets the gullible believe what they want to, plus he likes all the attention he gets when they're foolish enough to hype his car up all by themselves... like you are...

There are a lot of people on this forum who are a lot quicker/faster than Eric is with a lot less done to their cars. He just doesn't want to admit that he's not very good at drag racing but likes to look the part.

I have no problem admitting that my car isn't fast. I'll also admit that it doesn't make alot of power.

so why is that? is it down to tuning? or is youre setup just unbalanced? I would guess that if you have a tuner at least helping you out you'd be able to get some good power.

Now, I'm from the other side of the world but it looks as though some of these guys have obviously seen you or dealt with you and for some reason or another they dont like you ( although there are some that do) .
Can you cast any light on why that is? or this just a clash of egos?

In your defence you have a great looking FD with some serious potential and to your credit you sound like you dont give a f**k what these people think of you so big ups for that.

If you ever manage to get a 10sec ET or better just make sure you come back and rub it in!
