I think that a reason nobodies answered you is because your not expalining it enough. If you don't have the 3000 rpm hesitation anymore then why are you worried about it, thats a GOOD thing.

If your talking about the start up 3k RPM for 30 seconds to help emmissions out, then the only way it could be by-passed is starting it in gear or tapping the gas after you start it. Thats what you maybe doing with out even knowing it, sooooo.

yeah, try to explain more than just "that thing"

It sounds like street king hit it with his second idea. I believe your ACV has something to do with it too...not sure though.

Did not mean to get on your bad side just need a little clarification if you want us to help. That is what I was thinking and it will not do the high rev if you have in in gear, tap the accelerator pedal, or you have a problem with your ACV. There might be other things that affect it but I am not sure of them all. Mine does the same as yours every now and then but typically I get the normal 3k rev.

Id rather get the 1500 rpm rather than 3k rpm. IMO its nothing to bother with.

This doesn't answer your question, but the owner's manual says once the car is idling at about 2500-3000, tap the peddle after 15 seconds to reduce the idle. My car does the same thing as yours, depending on whether it's in gear or not.
