3 yrs 70,000 miles

Well the rex blew up about 20 minutes ago. I was driving up a hill under part throttle and she went kaboom. now she is running off one rotor. PMS if giving crazy numbers and she wont idle. I limped her home to the garage and will start yanking the motor tonight.

I feel your pain, man. I was in the same boat last month....bad coolant seals for about half a year, then a failed main bearing.

In your new engine, you might want to request Teflon water seals. I've heard good things about them and my hopes are that it'll end this failed coolant seal crap.....

Why not just use Evans???
So what future plans or port jobs to you have in mind for your engine?
You doing it yourself or having someone else do it for you?

Evans Coolant won't prevent coolant seal failures - they (coolant seals)mainly fail from the movement caused by the different expansion rate of the aluminum rotor housings and the cast iron side housings, and from COMBUSTION gas pressure (not coolant pressure). TEFLON seals last longer because they are more restant to HEAT and slide eaiser on the alum side housings thus enduring less stress from the differential movement of the alum and cast iron housings during heat/cool cycles.

in 2 days im gonna disassemble the engine and see how everything looks. I'd do a rebuild myself, but i dont trust the shaky hand with a port job. Maybe a re man, i really havent decided yet. My budget isnt real tight, but when oyu start figuring in extras,(broke the p/spulley today among other things) it gets tighter.
