no the one in the first movie had a vielside kit on it. stock tan seats, and so on. this one has the mazdaspeed anniver kit on it, with a front bumber whos company i cant remember doh!!! anyways i saw this car and it has sparco seats. some unknown exhaust and a stock engine...plus a stripped interior. also the graphics are totaly different. and lastly the biggest thing to me is that it doesnt have those ugly wheels from the first movie. imho

That FD got a poor write up in Sports Compact car...

it seems that the suspension was shot and it didn't accelerate like it was suppose to...I think it posted a zero to 60 time in the high 5's?

Also, they stated that it was wierd how this car went from dramtic understeer to oversteer

yeah.. think the car ran a blazing 14.9 or something in the quarter. Though I think franko was referring to the price of all the rx7s in general going up.

It was a personal satisfaction for me that I actually had my eye on an FD since 92. I curse the day that F&F came out. Before then No body knew what my car was.

Now every kid under the age of 18 knows what it is & wants one cuz of the stupid movie. I cringe my teeth whenever people say 'you got an RX-7 just like the fast and the furious!'...

Ha, that Orange Julius FD sucks anus! I just looove the frickin Pep Boys muffler on it. Damn, at least the Robot one from the first movie actually had some show AND go. This one just looks slapped together with minimal attention to under the hood. Yeah, yeah, no one's gonna see under the hood in the movie, but it's a f*ckin racing movie, isn't it?

Even funnier is that they had an article on it in the Japanese RX-7 magazine and they had the nerve to tell the writer that it was pushing 300+ hp. The readers were probably calling BS since they had an under the hood pic right next to the quote which showed it all dirty shabby-*** and bone-STOCK!

Then that **** Singleton is saying that all the new cars are waaay more "extreme" than the ones in the old movie. Then that douche Tyrese is saying he handpicked all the crap on his Eclipse and tricked it all out to be a monster - yeah, figures... it has ******* chrome Lowenharts and PURPLE paint job!!! Looks like the future of Rx-7 performance is here guys - ghetto lowrider paintjobs, Pep Boys exhaust, Altezza taillights, and 22 inch chrome Niche Neeper wheels...

 

But but but .... Pepboys > HKS, Apex'I, etc ....

I've seen some pics of it though from the front.

I bet they didn't mess with it cause they had Ricers do the mods and wer too scared to mess with the rotary.

I just got motortrend in the mail and they did stats on the EVO,Yenko,and GTR.

The dumbasses turned a GTR into RWD only! That's called a GT-S(except supposedly still twin turbo)

The Yenko owned them in the 1/4 but the EVO dominated everything else but 0-60.

The Yenko's braking for 100-0 was something like 180ft while the GTR and EVO were down near 120ft(i think,goin off memory).

As much as I hate the movie so far, I am gonna see it.
Most of you can't deny it,you will see it too.

I can quote whole scenes from the first,but then we mod them to make a parody.
