285-35's on 18X9's...Will they fit??

I have a set of 285-35-18's left over from my old rims which were 18X10's and I was wondering if they would fit on my new rims which will be 18X9. Does anybody have any input on this? If they won't fit and somebody wants them, make me an offer. They are Pirelli P7000's with ~80% tread left.

Physically - yes, you could get them on, but rim width recommendation by Pirelli is more then likely 9.5"

a 9 inch rim is on the small side for a 285 tire. also, 285-35/18 is too big compared to the stock FD tire. 285-30/18 is an (almost) exact match.

a 265 on my 9" is a good fit, anything over that I think would be overkill for that width.
