Loved the pics!
You're right, actually... all I had to do was say "hmm, that doesn't feel nearly as fast as my old single turbo"... and the rest is history!
I'm doing some legwork on flights up that weekend - is Allentown the closest/most convenient airport to the venue?
Will a flight in early AM put me there in time to be a part of the event?
I saw Rich at the Petit LeMans last year, but for a lot of the rest of you it's been years. Good to catch up and honor Chris' memory.

Along the lines of speaking with Ron and Judie, and as John just stated:
The intention of this event is to honor Chris' memory, and gather all rotorheads together to share in both our memories of Chris and also our love of these cars and (for most of us, heh) their amazing engines.
Everyone is welcome this year, and I do mean everyone. It's my sincere hope that we can put aside our differences on this one day and come together as a community. We don't all have to hug each other (although I may hug BigBrosio ) but I think Chris would really approve of this, and that's what is the most important thing

Im pretty confident I will actually make it this year. I have wanted to make this event but life has gotten in the way the last 3 years. Unless some surprise pops up I plan to drive my newly acquired 94 Silver R2 to the event. Excited about the event and it is for a great cause.
I also missed time with Rich this year at DGRR and I cant go too long without spending time with him.

John(Jburer), I don't know if I'll have a vehicle at this event, but if I do you know they're is always a spot for you in my passenger seat. It won't be the yellow car though as it's dead.
David, I'm guessing you were asking because you will be coming from Nashville? If I end up driving and depending on when, may link up with you enroute. BTW, you'll have to come hang out with the regulars one night when I'm back in Nashville. Hope you, Erin, and the crumb snatcher are doing well.

This is shaping up to be a killer event..... I'm trying to convince Heath "SakeBum" RotorMotor to get over his fear of flying and get on a plane in August. He was buds with Chris as well, and is one of the last rotary 20B collaborators to be absent at the event.
I hope to have updates soon

I never knew Chris personally, but have met is friends and family at the past two years' Memorials. Birds of a feather must hold true, because they are good people.
Since attending the 2011 event, I have looked forward to it every year.

Yes sir, this is what I always envisioned when this event started
I really hope you can make it out Brian, one of the O.G. IRP guys right here
Really appreciate you weighing in John, between yourself and Mike the event will really feel complete this year if you can both make it. I've been speaking with Ron and Judie (Chris' father and mother) quite often recently and they both are very happy that you two are getting involved.

I'm just back from burying my younger brother Robert, Chris's uncle, who died of cancer after a five year battle. He was diagnosed two months after Chris died and instead of coming to the first picnic for Chris, had to go into the hospital for treatment. It underscores once more for me the importance of being grateful for each day that we have this side of the grass; and as a measure of that gratitude, that we not allow arguments and differences (which we're always going to have) to take away from the important things in life, and by that I mean, family and friends, and remembering and honoring family and friends that no longer have the opportunity to spend a day in the sun enjoying each others company and the sound of those rotary engines.
I'll be trackside again this year and might even take another ride with Ray and Ryan if they promise not to go too fast around those corners.
All the best to everyone.

Haven't been to this event since 2010 i think it was. I stupidly abandoned my rx7 in the darkness of my garage when I purchased my brand new 2011 WRX. I realized I havent given my rx7 the attention it needs a few weeks ago. Since then, I've been starting her up almost every morning before work. She's purring like a kitten!! Aside from a few cosmetic issues and hopefully just a tune-up, my rx7 should be legal very shortly! This event will be my own personal goal to get my FD back on the road and make it out on August 31st and September 1st to see you guys and commemorate Chris.
I can't wait for this!! I will see you all there!
