2 questions... .stumped... help..

Okay, nothing too serious (i hope...) but I've searched and can't find anything specific.

First, relevent mods.... street port, 2mm hurley, rx6.

Oil pressure is wierd.... I mean wierd. Sometimes its normal (60-90psi), then, it's at 0psi. then i rev it, and it's at 90psi. then it tops at 60psi. What gives? Bad sender? It still moves all the time (with rpms--some kind of oil port by BNR?? ---) If its reading, could it be a bad sender. Just started one day, but the car runs fine. Seems to do it regardless of operating temp.

Second, sputtering... Occasionally, the car gets into a "lopey" mode. (ie... sounds and feels like a BIG cam).. When I nail it in this "mode", it has a little sputter/hesitation. Tomorrow I'm going to try unplugging the jacobs box and see if maybe it's f***ed or maybe plugs? I'm running the HKS iridiums (10s) all around. Relatively new, but I'm switching to NGK 9s x4 (Steve Kan tuning it and he wants new plugs...)

thanks for your input..

hi,

I experienced the same problem with my stock sending unit, it would move, but at idle it would go to zero. I replaced the sending unit and now it functions as it should. Not too sure about the idle problem.

It's the sending unit. Clean it - do a search.
