2 questions about Racing Beat dual tip catback...
Hey all,
Just got in installing my new Racing beat dual tips. Pretty easy and straight forward. I have two things in question and appreciate your info/input in advance. Thanks! Tam
1) Being my first actual exhaust I ever bought since my former exhaust, Bltiz NurSpec, came with my car. The new exhaust has a certain minor scent that is different from the Blitz. Actually, though I shouldn't, it smell's "cleaner" than the Blitz (had carbon build-up inside exhaust) as it's not nausiating to smell the catback area. My buddy and I figure it's the "break-in" period and it's a new exhaust. Any thoughts? Just want to make sure. Also, I checked of course and no exhaust leaks or any smoke. (Note - I never had airpump at any point even when bought the car years ago which i understand can contribute to the smell yet my idle had always been a perfectly stable idle @ 700-900 RPM).
2) My previous Blitz NurSpec supported all the rod hangers. However, This new Racing Beat exhaust has all hangers but one which is replaced by a metal plate and two holes (rear right side as shown in pic). I have 2 nuts and 2 bolts leftover parts so I know I have to mount to something but what do I mount that with...I looked everywhere and didn't not even remotely see a close bracket. Perhaps the previous owner removed the chassis-bracket? Is that part available from Ray Malloy...or can I fabricate when from Home Depot. Pic below:

Constant threat
You are seeing the factory hangar, which is the flat steel piece that turns into a rod, that goes into the rubber hangar. You can see the rubber hangar and the rod just BEHIND the flat piece. It sort of bends in on itself.

You know whats funny is I noticed the same thing when I installed my RB duals, but the same day I installed them I used MMO in the gas, so I figured it was that. Smelled like "Kettle Corn".
