Hey guys I started the car today for the first time in a year. I've done a bunch of mods inluding a big single, the whole 9 yards..I primed the fuel system and cranked the engine a few times to get oil running through all the lines/turbo. Then plugged in the fuse and gave her a try for real. Amazingly the car started right up...actually even faster than it used to and faster than a new rx8...I'm guessing that is from my new thick grounds and the new optima battery...who knows. Anyway I did have 2 worries. 1 was that the car reved to 4k and just held there for like 5 seconds...then I shut it down. Tried it again with the same result. I obviously don't have any aws anymore. The second worry was that my oil pressure was at the highest the gauge could go. Shot right up. I think the reason for that is either the very high idle or that my oil return line has a bend in it that is to steep and could possibly be kinking the return line a little. Anyone have any suggestions as to why my rpms would go so high? any thoughts on the oil pressure. Thanks
