Hi all,
Im trying to troubleshoot a problem with my stock ECU at the moment (Series 7 1997 model). It is throwing an error code 45.

All looks good with the wiring and the solenoid at the moment, so i am starting to wonder if error code 45 is actually a charge control solenoid on the Series 7 computer (remember the Series 7 1996-1997 has a different computer to the Series 6 1992-1995). Im from Australia, and we never go this Series 7 here (we only got 92-95) so my local Mazda dealer is less than helpfull...

Does anyone have access to a 96+ service manual, with a description of the error codes the 96+ ECU throws out?

Before i go spend any more time troubleshooting a charge control solenoid, i would like to have some kind of confirmation that Error Code 45 is actually describing a charge control solenoid in the 97 model ECU.

i thought you guys got the series 7? o well, i havnt really looked but i havnt seen a manual, i would like one, would come in handy.

 

hey d1rx7, did you guys in NZ get the Series 7 sold locally?

If thats the case, then i might start lookin in NZ for Series 7 manuals at Mazda dealers - its just across the pond...

yes we got the series 7, i will ring mazda now four you and see what they say.
