15" slick on 16"fd rim

just a simple question could you stretch a 15" M/T slick (26x10x15) to fit a 16 " fd rim... ive seen it done before at the track and ran with out tubes....and the price from the 15" to th 16" is alomost 100$.. if anyone know how to do this properly and wether you guy sthink its a good/bad idea let me know ..im in the process of getting them as we speak..or if you guys recomend any other tire/slick combo for the fd stockers.. im sticking with them because of the weight.. and no smart *** remarks.. serious anwsers only..

thanks again

It's a 15" tire! NO, you cannot mount it on a 16" rim. Jeesh.

Bad idea. For the love of God spend the extra $100 and get the correct size before you kill somebody.

you might be able to get it on but it would not be the safest idea and i would never want to run it on a track that is more speed ad down force not to mention the fact that on a track you wear your tires down more. i know tires are expensive my rears are 450 each and the fronts are 400 each slicks are even worse when i put on my watanabes to go to the trak with the guys the slicks on them are around 800 a tire but i have a feeling new ones are goign to be more now. i recomend you spend the extra cash and do it right if you take care of your FD your FD will take care of you

Even if you could get it on, that tire is going to be under a lot of extra stress, the last thing you want is a tire to blow 3/4 that way down the drag strip. Remember, tires are the only thing keeping you car incontact with the ground. I would spend the extra money and be safe.

Ive seen some dumb questions, but this ranks up there with the best of them....lol...
But I'll humor it, this is the stupidest idea I've ever seen. You can't do it. If you were able to manage it, you'll end up blowing the tire and into a wall you go!

Can a 15" rim actually work on a FD btw ???Thought that couldn't clear the breaks.

It can as long as the wheel stud spacing is correct and it's mounted on a 15" tire. But why?

Actually, no and yes. It will, but you have to grind the calliper down and grind the nut to the toe link down too.
