13rew weight..

Ive been trying to find the weight of the motor with all components on it...Intake/exhaust/turbos..ect. I found a post that said 240 lbs, and was wondering if that was accurate. If not , anyone know? Thanks

It is more than 240 with everything mounted on it. My guess is up around 400 lbs with turbos and all accessories.

good question, i may weigh the individual components when i rebuild my motor sometime this month or next month. I was wondering similar to the same thing but in comparison of the weight of the 13B REW to the motor in the current Miatas (factory and Mazdaspeed)

Without any of the accessories that 240 pound estimate is probably fairly close.

IIRC the shipping weight on my Mazda reman was 220 pounds for the bare motor; just a block, waterpump and flywheel. I don't know if the weight of the plastic shipping container was included but I know 2 of us easily lifted the box out of the back of a semi and sat it on the ground.

No way in hell that whole thing with manifolds, turbos and accessories weighs less than 400ish pounds.

Do a search and you'll find it buried in Jim's 125+ page thread.

I weighed two of them complete. IIRC they were right around 390lbs ea.
