ok, it appears to me that a lot of FC owners are reaching astounding power levels much more reliably then FD owners and i just have to ask the question: is it possible to swap a 13BT into an FD? as far as i know the only difference between the 13BT and the 13B-REW is the sequential turbo setup which would be scrapped on big hp apps neways so what is it that makes the 13BT's more reliable? do the two engine's rotors have different compression ratios? or am i just wrong its actually NOT more reliable

 

as far as i know, there would be no advantage to swapping in a 13BT, some people have talked about a puttin a N/A 13B in a FD...

the 13bREW has lighter rotors and other parts, i think the compression is differnt too, but you can just go single turbo on the 13bREW, and get rid of the sequential twin turbo system, and have lots of horsepower, they is no reason to use the 13BT, the 13BREW is "better" block, and the 13BREW isn't part of the FD's reliability issues.

The 13BT is not more reliable than the 13B-REW. They both are comparable. The misconception comes from the fact that stock, the twin turbo was closer to the limit than the TII. Because of this and other design quirks (cooling, precat, etc,etc), the TwinTurbo has been given a less than reliable rating because it has seen many of the stock engines die. Also, the 70+ vacuum hoses and any given one causing catastrophic failure helps kill more engines per mile than the TII. The 13B-REW is actually a better designed block.
