13B-RE Cosmo in FD, Performance? Is it worth it?

I thought about placing a 13B-RE in my FD after my 13B-REW blew the seals. Is there a great performance difference between these two engines, and how easily can it be done? Also.. will all my upgrades work with this engine?

In my personal opinion, no it's not worth it. I think the 13B-REW is capable of the same things the cosmo is. Both are great motors, but why switch when you don't really need to. That's my thoughts.

Aww POO

Well, the 13B-RE's are easier to find... and cheaper... but I hear you usually pay for quality... I've seen serveral of the COSMO's on ebay.. not found a 13B-REW yet... I am still waiting for a reply from pineappleracing... I could use that warranty. You know the performance differences? Why would MAZDA even make an engine that's practically the same and charge less for it?

Are you trying to find this motor used or new?! I personally wouldn't buy any boosted rotary motor used.

Here's a link to a thread about the pro's and con's of both motors: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=198183

I'll stick with the REW ;p Cosmo requires some time and effort... one of which I don't have much of... (time) *cough*
