12V Relay Mod to Fuel Pump still necessary??
My previous supra pump was wired to a relayed 12v to give it more juice so it could keep up during high rpm and boost (takes away the staging and is constantly getting max voltage).
I just put in a Skyline pump that flows WAY more than the supra pump so I'm wondering if the direct 12V mod is still necessary? Can I go back to the staging setup of the stock harness now that flow shouldnt be an issue anymore?
any suggestions would be much appreaciated.
thanks

I too burned up my RP/Supra pump running constant 12-13V then switched to an Apexi BNR32. It was pig rich at idle and I was getting alot more backfiring. You could also hear the pump whine constantly so I went back to stock wiring. I'm holding good fuel pressure to redline in 3rd and 4th gear (only running 327whp at this time).

thanks. I went back to stock wiring this morning and all/most of the extra richness went away along with the annoying whine. gotta get a fuel pressure guage. know of any other way to see how fuel pressure is doing without the guage? Datalogit or commander somehow?
