I bought my Bosch 1680's for like 85.00 each......1300's should be about the same....Ask him for a quote

Also, you could go with 1680's without modding the fuel rail (despite what others say) If you into that PM me Brad

the RX7 store has Nippondenso 1300cc injectors for $330 (ea?) I think.. anyone care to clarify if that price listed is each or pair? They also say they require your old 850cc injectors.

sent your 850 to RC, they will modify to flow 1300cc, cost a lot less.

They can do that?????!?!?!?!?!!

Is that as reliable as buying new 130cc injectors? (God, what am I saying... it's RC Engineering afterall..)

Also, what's the max injector size that the PowerFC can control? As long as we're on injectors...

the ones at the rx7 store are bored out 850's by rc.

btw, imo getting 1600cc injectors isn't too great of an idea. fuel doesn't atomize as well cause the injectors flow so much volume. this'll cause the fuel to form droplets and you won't be able to ignite it as efficiently. good ignition of the a/f ratio is already one of the biggest problems for rotaries, i don't think we should be exacerbating it.

I contacted www.injectors.com and the guy told me he does not sell 1300 and 1200 CC injectors. According to him all 1200 CC to 1300 CC injectors are made from the stock injectors and do not work correctly. He said something about "impendance"? I am not sure cause i don't know what all of it means. He said its easy to blow your seals because they do not work right.

Now I am confused as ever. to go with the 1600 CC requires a new manifold, fuel rails and alot of labor.

*** it, I'm getting a renisis in my FD and slapping a turbo on it.

There is no such thing as a 1300cc injector. They are acutally 850's reworked. The only place I know that does that is RC-Engineering. I just send mine to them to get redone.

Jason any particular reason you decided to go with reworked stockers instead of 1600's.....especially with your big single

Thanks,

Just go with 1600's it will give you more room to upgrade later.

And with that said....

All I wanted was a mid pipe with the current mods I got now for 150.00.
My Rotary shop said I need new Injectors, New FP and 90 minutes worth of Tuning for my power FC.

I want a scoot hood, but I need to get a body kit for it too look right.

I wanted a full exhaust, but I needed a power computer cause it caused more boost. I got that and then I needed an intercooler to handle the extra boost.

I have to draw the line somewhere. the 1600 CC requires alot more labor, Fuel rails a different manifold, etc.

Well then you should be fine under 15 psi with the 1200 cc injectors. There isn't that much of a difference. If it really bugs you that much just buy a FPR, and be done with. You 1200's should be fine for what you are looking for.

I agree. Btw, I'm running 1300cc RC Eng. bored out secondaries with no problems. You could also look at running stock 850s in the primary--RP can mill the primary fuel rail to accept them.

1600 is a low impedence unit. you need to run a resitor to made it work. I have freinds that are pushing over 400 plus rwhp with 550 pr, and 1200 secondary. I'm not sure at what power level you need to go with 1600cc and an after market fuel rail?

So is it any less expensive to get your 850's bored to 1200 instead of 1300?

Has anyone done 1200cc primary and secondary, If you can just drop them in? I don't see why you would do a fuel rail for 1600cc secondary's when four 1200's would be much more fuel?

Theory wise, a super large set of primaries would idle like crap. Kinda like using a firehose to water your plants with, when a smaller garden hose would be better.

No - and anybody that says that bored out injectors cause problems are either full of **** or is trying to sell you something different. I can't count the number of people with bored out injectors, myself included. Key is to take/send it to a reputable shop, such as RC engineering.

Zerobanger: Also, what exactly do you have in mods that they say you need 1600ccs? If stock 550cc pri and 1300 secs are fine for my Apexi single turbo (along with my pump), why would you need more?

OK in the Nov SCC mag, the CWest RX-7 only lists FEED 660cc primarys and no secondary's. I have seen this alot cruising the japanese web sites. Also checking out FEED, Border and don't remember all but I only see upgraded primary's?

i am getting them too, zero...but really i dont know if we need them. Alot of people are running 350 rwhp with all the bolt ons without upgrading the injectors. I asked the list and the forum and people are kinda mixed. I have emailed dave and i am just waiting for a response...i will do whatever he says...i think he likes to upgrade to 1300
