12 lbs of vac? problem?

59k on the motor. I start it every 3 days. The weather forecast shows it feels like 1ºF. The car idles at 800-1200.
I "plugged" my airpump from the intakes, to stop the noise.

My mods are: power fc, catback, greddy profec b, bov, hardpipe intakes with hks filters.

is it becuase of the cold weather? is it becuase my airpump is plugged? The car has tock motor, stock vac lines. Should the vac lines just be replaced?

thanks for the help.

What does your boost pattern look like? I wouldn't trust the boost gauge if its new....has the gauge been accurate before?

The air pump puts a little bit of air into the engine at idle. If you have plugged up the (intake) portion of the air pump, you will not get the needed air at idle. This can cause a lumpy idle, stalling, rough idle. This could be the cause. Also, The cold weather might be suspect. Even in Hawaii, when i start the car the vaccum is around 16, after it warms up to operating temps. it goes up to 19-20. And 1F is alot colder than it gets here!!Try unplugging the airpump and seeing what happens.

I have 59K on my motor. At start up I get 12 and then it drops to 17-18 after it warms up. The temp is in the 20s right now too.

I have 58k on mine. I get 18 when it's cold, and that drops to 17 when it's warm... Damn vacuum leaks I don't feel like dealing with! Mine is getting really loud. Psssssssssssssssss
