115 after the car is shut off-is this bad?
I have a greddy FMIC w an aftermarket rad. The temps are fine when the car is running, but when I shut it off they climb to 115 at times. Is this bad for it? -obviously it's worse than 95, but is it harmful? I installed both the FMIC and the rad at the same time so I'm not sure what the cause is. Since the car isn't moving when this happens I find it hard to believe the reduced airflow could be the primary cause. Has anybody experienced similar temps w an aftermarket rad but not FMIC?

Heat soak. I've seen as high as 120C on a very hot like 95-100F day. Do the fan mod. Very easy. There is a small black box located under the ecu dehind the passenger kick panel. Run its wire to a switch and then to ground. Flip the switch to ground it 2 min before you plan to stop driving. Then shut the car off, wait 20 sec, and unground it. The fans should run on low for 10 min.

Someone please correct my logic here.
With the fan mod, you are cooling the liquid that is setting in the radiator. Since the engine is not running that fluid is not circulating through the engine, so how does that help the situation??

WHen your car is sitting and heat soaking.
The Fan mod doesn't nessessarily Fix the
heat soaking inside the motor. BUT
something is BETTER than Nothing..
The fan circulates the air and pushes the HOT
air out and about. so i would assume it helps
a little.
The best thing about the Fan being on after the
car is turned off.. IS after it heat soaks, and
then on restarts the TEMPS drop like a rock.

1) open the hood after shut down and let the extra heat escape.
2) leave the ignition key on after shut down and the fans will stay on and help remove some of the warm air off of the radiator and out of the engine compartment as well.
3) get a downpipe!
I always allow 2 minutes of cooldown for my turbos. After that i shut it down unless i just got done after romping on it or off of the highway at high speeds.
