Difference

Differences in torque output makes a difference, just like tracking, 1/8 mile time, etc.

Many factors besides HP.

That sounds about right . I know someone who ran 11.1 - 11.2@122 mph.

Hollywood figures bro !

Any **** can claim he makes ....rwhp

What times he can do are down to to many variables, least of which if the power claimed is correct !

30psiBoost- I know exacty which car you are talking about. The reason why the car is so slow in the 1/4 is the size of the turbo. He was running a T-78 which in my opinion is way to large for a 2 rotor unless you are using nitrous to spool it up or do a 5k+ clutch dump. So the slow 1/4 mile time is due to the mega lag on that turbo.

Don't believe ANYTHING you read in magazines. Trust me on this. They do not verify anything.

Well the 11.46 @ 119 MPH sounds just right... however it would take far less than 468rwhp to do it. More like 360rwhp. I'd trust dragstrip MPH before I would trust a dyno number, that 468rwhp number is highly inflated (they couldn't duplicate it at the strip, anyway).

Yea, 486 should be closer to mid 10's. Anthony NYC (that posted a few up from me) ran 11.1 with right at 400rwhp.

Also, if your that easily swayed by mags you prob dont need a RX7. Mag believers dont make good RX7 enthusiast.

I saw that Article..

IT was in TURBO magazine.

BLK FD3S Owned by somebody named John Buck or something that was built and tuned by RX7.com.
I was wondering if he was a member here..

Interesting article.. BTW

Does anyone know what the 60' times were? Could it be 486rwhp = 11.46 with a horrible driver? I agree at any rate that you never can trust magazines.

Are you sure it was 468rwhp and not fwhp. The numbers work out perfectly if the 468 is at the flywheel. This would lead to ~368 rwhp and a 11.48 at 118.71 in the theoretical perfect run for a 2870 LB car with driver.

A T-78 can make well over 500 hp, just takes forever to spool. thust the low 1/4 mile times.

The MPH is way too low for 468rwhp. I'll have to agree with cymrex.

Stephen, Anthonys car made 386 rwhp to be exact..With another 100 hp the car ought to run 10. 3's @ 132 mph or so..

Yea, it just takes money and tuning. Anthony ran that 11.1 with a Pettit upgraded ecu lol

Most of the people running 10's are over in the single turbo section, actually most of them dont spend much time on the forum.....I prob wouldnt either if I had a 10second car. They dont need and are not looking for advise so they dont spend as much time here as other members.

well i suppose i broguth the flames, what i was saying the problem with the picture was not in the trap speeds, but the huge power output. nd the thing about changing my opinion was to get some strong opinion out of you. I want a rex so bad its not funny. thank you anyways, i thought about the turbo lag, but you guys nailed it home, thank you
