100k miles?

I heard that the 13b engines typically last abouyt 100k miles before 'dying'. is this true or is it just the vacuum hoses that break down after 100k?

i cannot say how many threads there are on this site about that, but just for you....

most will say......

-it'll last forever, if it is tuned right
-maintain it properly, and it will last longer
-do the reliability mods on it, and the above two items, and you chances are better...

-if you treat it like a honda, it won't last for ****. read up on them, and, if you get one, maintain it religiuosly. just do not expect it to be a trouble free 'investment'.. cause they are not. when you enter into the world of forced induction rotaries, you are entering into a new world. both good and bad. treat it right and you will not desire any other car......at least this is my opinion...

true,

-always monitor your oil
-don't rag on it all the time
-just enjoy the car, don't drive it worrying about it breaking

Most Turbo cars last about 150k and then require a rebuilt, including Supra, Z...

If you take excellent care of the car, you can get 120-150k. Don't expect much more than that though.

For the record ... 104k and still pulling like a schoolboy!!

Keep a good magazine in the car to read while you warm up/down ... don't rush or it won't last you long.

Can somebody tell me how to get a photo into my profile so it sits beside each post ... feel like a lemon having to ask but can't find it anywhere.
