How about a Hybred FD. 50 MPG, 0-60 in 15 seconds. Now that's progress.Mines 1 of 115. 94 T SS. MT.
I wish we had an accurate count of how may FD's were still registered in the US.

i think we're living in the best part of the automotive history, the BEST.. it reached its highest peak in gasoline cars..i thank god i was here to experience it..

i was thinking about those numbers today. they probably dont take into account for alot of the fds that burned to the ground in 93 due to that gas line recall.
i think the fd is pretty rare compared to most cars but they will always be around regardless. right now there is 5 in my town that i know of, a guy at work has one now too. there seem to be alot of people crashing them, but also some that rebuild them. the only cars that will never make it back on the road are the ones that have been parted.

Wouldn't the price of the rx7 go up becuase there less of them available, also I have noticed that rx7 are selling for a little higher then when I was looking for a rx7 two years ago.

1 of 109, just clicked over 22,000 miles, got it 6 months ago with less than 20,000 - a one owner car. I knew these cars were relatively rare. but finding one with low miles and 1 of 109. I didnt fully realize the treasure I was getting.
These cars are truly unique - the aggressive powerfully charged engine under the hood, the body design sleek, sexy, timeless and visually captivating, the responsive handling enmeshes you as you become one with the car feeling every nuance of the road.
You probably can tell that I like em a lot, as Im sure many of you do. Yes, the value will definitely go up and be driven by supply and demand and love for this captivating uniqueness I just elaborated on. The real pity is that many who get these cars are purely involved with them as hi powered mechanical entities with which to empower themselves regardless of the consequences to the "machinery" they are thrashing. Kind of how I would picture a farmer beating the **** out his horses and pushing them till worn out dead. Whereas, the farmer that takes care of his work animals gets more out of them and for longer.
These vehicles embody a spirit that has touched many of their respective owners and those same vehicles will endure and continue to be treasures for years to come. Yup, without a doubt this is a rare breed and Im glad I got one before they were all taken or used up.

Not trying to be negative here, but i don't think the price of RX-7 will increase in values as RX-8 right now is available in the U.S market. Damn, Mazda for bringing in the RX-8 and i hope more people will total or crash their car as by doing this the value of the car will increase. Sorry for such a jerk, but for the love of the 7, i don't care!

But does make sense.. its been out for 12 years and I've seen and heard few 7s going out of commission due to accidents.. and thats just with in couple of states..
But if someone could get a more accurate estimate of how many 3rd gens are left in the US of A, I would greatly appreciate it!

The trick is to get everyone who decide to sell their FD to sell it at a higher price. So that will determine the market value??
Heck or just once in a while put your car up for sale in the
Autotrader for a higher price where you don't think it would sell like 25k for a stock reman engine. I think it'd work...
I've seen a couple of 30k fixed up FD's....

Imagine owning a bone stock fd with like 50k original miles 30 years from now. It would be like owning a GT40 today. They would start making rx7 kits cause very few originals would still be around. But it would be a waste having an FD sit in your garage all those years.
