10.16 @ 140mph XS Engineering

Welp, just got back from Sunday's IDRC race at Palmdale. Came home early to catch some rest for work tomorrow.

Anyhow, I saw XS's FD ran a 10.16 @ 140mph!!! I think they end up 2nd in the Street Class compeition (lost to an Eclipse which ran 9's @ 160mph).

Regardless, that's some awesome time!!!!! Go XS! If it's not for the high elevation of Palmdale, I think we would have seen some 9 sec time slips at sea level.

I think that's him., a 1G Eclipse. Friend just called me saying XS did a last exhibition run at 10.09 @ 137!

That's it for the day folks, even my friends are coming back to rest.

They may have already been correcting for altitude in the timer (when we've tested there, we have the option of having the times shown corrected or not). If not, then XS's time would correct to 9.92 @ 140 using standard NHRA correction factors for Palmdale. Time rocks either way.

Yeah it does. That's an awesome time. I'm more impressed with the MPH actually. 140 is amazing at palmdale. 140 is amazing anywhere. Is this the streetable car or is that gone? It's been awhile.

their best time the day I was there was a 13.1 running a to4e at the time...this is about a year ago

looks like they came a long way.
