I've been driving it quite a bit in the past month, will it burn that much oil?

 

What kind of milage do you have on the turbos? Also how much smoke do you see on cold starts?

 

The turbos look newer than the rest of the engine. There is a small cloud of smoke when I start it in the mornings. After I spool up the turbos and let off I can hear a whining hissing sound coming from the area of the turbos and a bitter, sweet smell of unburnt gas. I haven't notice this sound before. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be any loss of power. The last time I change the oil was at about 2,500 miles. I'm waiting on a gasket for my down pipe. Any advise would be welcome.

 

Solved the noise problem, broken hose coming off the air compressor.

 

Some insight for you...In case you didn't know it, rotaries burn a slight amount of oil as a way to lubricate the seals on the rotors. This makes them like a 2-stroke in a sense, hence your oil consumption. I'd say a quart in between oil changes is not uncommon. Hope this helps.
