0-100-0 FD times?
Back when I started driving, 427 Cobra 0-100-0 times of 10 sec or less were touted as fastest production car times. I have never seen anything other than 1/4 mile or 0-60 times posted for FDs. Out of curiousity, my brother with his stopwatch in the passenger seat and I timed my FD. Two back-to-back runs of 9.7 and 9.9 sec. Anyone else have times on this? BTW- pick someone with some ***** to do the timing, or let them sit on a towel.

Road and track does a 0-100-0 test ever year (August this year). The Enzo pulled off a 11.7. So I'm gonna have to doubt your times, since the Enzo is basically an F1 car with a real body.
The Saleen S7 pulled off a 14.3, Murcielago did a 14.2, 911 turbo did a 13.5, viper 13.9, you get the picture. Is your car considerably faster than the $100,000+ range exotics?

I think he meant 100km/h (0-63mph-0). Under 10secs is quite possible. I think it can be done faster - 5secs to 100km/h and then another few to stop. I'd guestimate 9secs flat would be possible.

I am going to say your timing was off,
Times posted for the AC Cobra seem slow. I know it has been nearly forty years since I read them, but I recall the ads for the Cobra bragging about sub-10 second times for the 0-100-0 runs, although Carroll was known for embellishing the truth from time to time. I have a pile of old FoMoCo ads from the 60s. There may be something in there about the Cobra.

They did indeed brag about that back then, but more recent attempts to duplicate those results have failed dramatically. And people bitch about Mazda and the RX-8 horsepower issue!

bureau_c- Yeah, you're right. One of the reasons they got away with the bragging was the 427 Cobra was so head-and-shoulders above anything else on the American road at that time. Back about 1966 or 67 I was following one on a two-lane road with some big Buick or Caddy poking along at maybe 45 mph ahead of us. When we got to a passing zone, the guy in the Cobra whips out to pass- with oncoming traffic danger-close for most normal cars. There was this ferocious blast of exhaust noise, tire smoke, squealing tires leaving two black marks on the pavement and BAM! he had passed and was back in lane in a split second. Left me thoroughly impressed.

A stock FD takes about 14 seconds (or 13.5 if you have a strong car and great skill) to reach 100 mph. Allow about 4 seconds for braking and you get Motor Trend's time of 18 seconds.
I'm guessing a moderately modded FD would take about 14 seconds to run 0-100-0.
Your timing is obviously way off, although I would certainly believe it as a 0-100 mph time.

With the stock brake set up it would take a 10 second 1/4 mile car to nail down the 1-100-0 in 10 seconds.
Basically a rx7 that runs mid 10's would hit 100mph in mid's 6's which would alow 4 seconds for braking (with stock brakes) and give you a 0-100-0 in the 10's.

sounds reasonable
