%#$ OEM CD player ejects CD when turned on

Anyone else have this problem?

Not exactly a performance issue - but it is robbing me of pleasure while cruising - hate having to reinsert and move up to the track I was at.....

Possibly some bad wiring?! I noticed that when I disconnect the battery and then reconnect it my CD will eject. Maybe it's not keeping connection to the battery when it's turned off. *shrug*

Very common. Sorry to say but it is spent. What is happening is the laser wears out and it cannot read the disk.

I and a friend of mine sent ours to the dealer. They send them out for a rebuilld. I think it was $175.00. The CD player is a Panasonic unit, I think. Works great . Supposidly they replace the whole CD carrage unit.
