Because you'll **** up the car that way. You'll be to lazy and cheap to buy tape and mask off the crap you should mask off. You'll get overspray and paint on the lights, trim, etc and the bodyshop that ends up trying to paint it the right way will just spend more time and $$ fixing what you did in the first place.

End of story.......

Its not a 7, but it is a flat black primered Prelude I did for about $40 in sandpaper and spray paint. What do you all think?

Here is a shot of one FD from a while back. Kinda OK if you drop the F&F stickers

D"oh! Hold on.

The group of pics about 8 posts down

However, if you do this you better use some quality materials and fill the body "imperfections" very good or you will see all of them. Not to mention if you use $20 paint in a can I will come smack you too!!

Spend the money and make the cars paint last! Whatever color you go with.

Austin dude, skip all that bullshit since its a waste of time and pointless. There's nothing for you to see how it looks with primer.....it looks like any other car with primer, LIKE ****! There's no point for you to try this, it will just cause more problems. Just get the real paint job....A GOOD ONE TOO!

An entirely primered car is not the same as a matte finish.

If you want a matte finish, go get a 400 grid paper and take off the clear or keep sanding it until you hit primer.. That way you also have to get a new paint job! And i think it will be cheaper.. Unless you are thinking aboug sanding it to primer..

Good luck..

This is why 16 year olds should not own FDs.
