what type of grease do you recommend?
high temp lithium grease?
I filled all the way up the shift lever reservoir, shift tower hole included...
should I move out the oil from the shift tower and put only grease instead?
thanks!!
No. Grease the ball and bushing. Any grease works...whatever you have. I use some inexpensive bearing grease I buy by the tub. Then submerge in the gear oil as usual. The oil will NOT wash it off those surfaces. Done.
I just mentioned it because it seems like a lot of owners miss that in the FSM and it makes a big difference and smoothness in my experience.

This is the grease I use on the shifter, but as mentioned I don't think it's super-important. I just use this because I also have it for things like the trans input shaft/pilot bearing
