Thermoswitch sensor 2002 FD

Hi all.
I'll start with I have tried to search and found a heap of stuff saying the sensor is the bottom unit on the back of the thermostat housing.
Mines not there ....
I only have one top unit there and I have no clue where it is on my 2002 japan import.
Really want to swap in the FC unit while I have things apart.
Sorry if it has been covered a 100 times but I'm only finding stuff on the early models.

Thanks in advance

i couldn't find a picture, but the later cars don't have the separate fan switch. suspect the ECU got smarter and they didn't need it anymore

Well, that's good and bad news I suppose.
A good reason to solve my cooling issue I may or may not have and get my power FC installed.
thanks for the heads up
