Take 5 coolant change

I wasn't able to monitor these late teens changing the coolant. Can't do it at home don't have enough jacks. Should I be good to go? He stated the correct volume of coolant changed.

I'm not sure what your question is or what kind of confirmation you're after if we don't know the quantity or how it was done... can you be more specific?

I think it's important to check the coolant level before the next few drives, and be prepared to top it off with distilled water or whatever coolant the shop used. Any air pockets that may have formed while refilling the coolant should work their way out with some time and heat cycles, and you don't want to be low on coolant when that happens. It's too late to add any sort of chemicals like Thermocure or flush the system a few times with water, but fresh coolant should be better than old coolant.

GtiKyle my queston was if they are reliable/ do they actually change the coolant/ is it a compatible coolant. Thanks scotty, I hit the 5 year mark on a new keg and trying to keep the internals clean. I'll keep an eye on the coolant after some heat cycles, I ran the lyle funnel for a bit but it didn't take anything initially.

Is who reliable? A shop local to you? A quick lube place? Some random Teens you found on the street?

My FD has been running fine for over two decades, and I’m still not sure what your question is either. And this is forum, you don’t get to pick who “addresses” you..especially in the discussion section. I’m sure the responses would be more to your liking if you could post a coherent thread, with a sensible title asking clear a question.
Maybe try speaking into the Google translator when you’re not doing crack, or just have someone sober post for you next time.

Low coolant buzzer will drive you nuts if the sensor is working. Check fluid level in the overflow and grab a coolant tester from the auto parts store to make sure it was changed and the coolant is still good and not going to eat your irons.

This thread is over no one cares what you have to say. If people cant read that is their problem. If you have trouble with sobriety don't project your issues with other people either. Thanks for your on topic post on a dead thread.

Pretty certain everyone that responded to you is literate, just not clairvoyant.

Another way of saying “Well oh yeah?”

I think the confusion was the naming of what i assume is a shop name without any clarification of what the hell "take 5" was. The title doesn't make sense if you don't know what that is and I scratched my head for a while trying to decipher this myself. I'm not even sure if that is what take 5 is, just my assumption.

My question would be who takes their car to a shop without first doing some sort of validation they are a good shop. Doesn't mean they don't do good work, but at least you did some research first.

I was also confused just the same. I had to google that to figure out it's one of those "jiffy lube" type places.

I guess you "get what you pay for" when you take your car to a place like that.

still flapping gums I see. The level of organization on a dead thread is hilarious. Must be jonesing for something. You should update your build thread with all this spare time instead of crying about.

Gotta say dude, not a fan at all. Wonder how many other guys are observing this thread like me and thinking to themselves "I'm sure as **** not going to help this guy in the future."

Just based on this thread you're pretty clueless about the FD platform so will certainly need the help. Back in my admin days I'd probably have booted you off the forum already.

You're making your fellow Army guys look bad. How about you stand down soldier and try having a little humility?

aww come on goodfellas you've gone soft in your old age. Had to scruff it up a bit for old times sake. The early 2000s were nothing but flaming noobs. Thats the problem nowadays the old guys went from hardass to soft gramps leaving the ipad generation to get participation trophys.
If you were booting guys for a little debate no wonder the forum never grew to ls1tech size, I did witness some of those boots, and the debates not even arguments weren't that serious. I remember you banned! a good member on a on subject post that got contentious. Thanks for proving my point. Cant even ask a run of the mil question

No, it's a simple matter of showing some respect to fellow rotary owners--- many of the guys you're **** talking in this thread have been around a long time and helped the community a lot over many years.

There's no excuse for being a *****. We should all ask ourselves, when I'm posting this am i just being a little bitch hiding behind a keyboard? Or would I have the ***** to be this big of a ***** in person at a car meet at some parking lot late night?
