Is there anyway to make the stock steering wheel come closer to me like a spacer or smth. I know you can swap in a aftermarket wheel but safety and cruise control buttons are some of my concerns

 

I have never seen one for the FD but they make them for various Miata chassis: https://www.949racing.com/product-ca...ll-bars/xtndr/

Given steering wheel hubs are compatible between the FD and early Miata, maybe this part can be used on an FD too? Worth investigating. Airbag wiring are different between generations so that would something to look at.
