CA Some post rebuild quirks, AFR at 20, FC fanswitch... etc. Input appreciated

Finally got my rebuild started.
For reference: '94 California car (Touring)
All emissions are still installed in the car (EGR, ACV, Air Pump)
Engine was rebuilt to stock (no porting)
99 Spec turbos with Azeknights solenoid rack

AFR

I have a PLX wideband (tested and seems to be working) installed and currently at idle, it's showing 20 for AFR up to around 4K RPM. The car was also allowed to run for a pretty significant amount of time (coolant temp reading > 100C).

At around 4K I am getting some fluctuation in the AFR going more rich but I am hesitant to rev it more to see if the AFR holds.

I've read that AFR w/ airpump should be around 17. And I will try and disconnect the air pump to see if that's what's preventing me from getting a good reading but I think dale mentioned the car will run poorly without the air pump plugged in.

FC Thermoswitch and radiator fans

Second concern is my FC fan switch modification. Temp readings are taken from the TB coolant hose.

With the FC fan switch, the first input signal should be @ 95C from the FC fan switch.
I did mess around with the connector since mine was shot (if anybody knows of an alternative source let me know!) so it could be the wire but my fans are only coming on @ 105C, which should be the ECU sensor.
The AC switch also turns on the fans as expected.

Now the weird part is that, on initial start, the fans turn on at 105C. Once it cools down below 105 into the 90s, and THEN reaches 95C again, the fans turned on.
  • Was this just some residual hot coolant passing over the sensor (10 C difference?)
  • Is this due to the updated fan harness and control module?
  • Is the module telling the car to ignore the Fan switch signal initially for accelerated warm up and then post that, utilize the fan switch signal?

The last possibility seems unlikely in terms of programming since the stock fan switch should be 108C... I don't know...

CELs

I am also reading 4 CELs,
  • 12 (TPS Full)
  • 18 (TPS Narrow)
  • 44 (Turbo control solenoid)
  • 45 (Charge control solenoid)

Again, I have the Azeknightz solenoid rack. Does anybody else with the setup get the same engine codes?

Also, which Turbo Control solenoid is the CEL referring to? The one near the ACV? Or the one in the rats nest itself.
When doing the rebuild, I had checked continuity of the wires and did not see any issues.

For the TPS, I'm thinking it's just positioned wrong. Will have to do some more testing...

Phew, if you read all this, thanks! I've got more problems but these three are at the top before I attempt a test drive.
