RX7 Heater core

RX7 Heater core

Trying find out if the FD LHD heater core is the same as an FD3S RHD.. interchangeable?

I know there was a thread a while back listing all the differences. My gut feeling it the CORE may be the same, but it could also be a mirror image. The box the core is in will 100% be different.

its NLA in the US, and looks to be NLA in Japan too

How hard are these to remove? I’ll never use mine in Florida and have had it capped off since I got the car. More weight reduction!!

IDK, I was using mine the other night while on a cruise when it was in the 40's and I'm in Tampa. Depending on your build and age, may be a creature comfort you want to keep.

not sure about the FD, but the FC and miata you take a cover off and it'll slide right out

The heater core is PITA to remove. Mine started to leak, so I had to remove the entire dashboard to remove the HVAC unit that houses the heater core. The A/C evaporator is easier to remove under the glove box without having to remove the dashboard.
