RE Amemiya 2003 RX-7 GT300 Spec

Hey 7Club!

This super awesome piece of history recently appeared for sale. As far as the FD goes in my eyes, there is seriously nothing greater than this. Funny how an image can bring back all kinds of memories from long ago. Japan just does the whole thing differently and this was peak motorsports imo.

Enjoy!

A Legendary GT Car—Now Within Your Reach

Rotary enthusiasts and RX-7 fans—this is the machine you've been waiting for.
An incredibly rare opportunity to own a GT300-spec RX-7, meticulously rebuilt to match the 2003 RE Amemiya JGTC race car.

Built upon an original reinforced chassis, suspension, and partial body etc, from the actual 2003 RE Amemiya GT300 machine, this car combines authentic RE Amemiya GT300 components, carefully selected aftermarket parts, and one-off custom fabrications to bring the past roaring back to life.

This is more than a rebuilt car. It’s a piece of racing history, reborn with passion, precision, and purpose.

Vehicle Overview
  • Base: Original 2003 RE Amemiya GT300 RX-7 chassis, suspension, partial bodywork
  • Components: RE Amemiya GT300 parts + aftermarket parts + one-off custom components
  • Spec Recreation: 2003 JGTC RE Amemiya RX-7 GT300 version

Please note: The following key components are currently not installed and are required to complete the car:
  • 13B/20B hybrid 3-rotor engine (3-peripheral ported 20B type)
  • Hewland sequential gearbox
  • Exhaust manifold
  • Fuel cell
  • Brake calipers
  • Air jacks (x3)
  • ECU Wiring / plumbing, etc.

We have a contact in the EU and in Japan to supply an engine and a gearbox for this car which we can also introduce when the car sold to you.

Perfect as a custom build base. Complete this machine with your own vision and make it the ultimate GT showpiece—or track beast.

A Machine That Defines an Era

RE Amemiya—a legendary rotary tuning house from Chiba, Japan.
In 1995, they entered the All-Japan GT Championship (JGTC) as a fully independent privateer team, battling giants while staying true to their rotary roots.

Their commitment paid off: in 2006, they captured the GT300 class championship after 16 years of passion-fueled competition.

This car represents a turning point in JGTC history (2003–2004), when GT cars were evolving from production-based chassis to full tube frames.
It’s not just a car. It’s a symbol of innovation, independence, and Japanese motorsport culture.

For Collectors, Restorers & Hardcore Rotary Fans
  • GT300 race cars—especially rotary-powered RX-7s—are almost never available on the market.
  • This vehicle carries the RE Amemiya name, a rich JGTC heritage, and the soul of the rotary engine.

2003 JGTC Season Results – RE Amemiya RX-7 GT300】
  • ROUND 3 – SUGO: Qualified P4 → Finished P3 (Podium Finish)
  • ROUND 8 – Suzuka: Finished P6
  • Team Ranking: 12th overall
  • Engine Tuner Ranking: 7th overall

Unfortunately I have already met my quota on RE Amemiya GT300 RX-7's

The chassis is under hold right now but they are taking names for a wait list if that falls through

Any takers?!
