Primary injector wiring question

Does it matter which connector is connected to whatever sensor on the fuel rail? I have two connectors P1 and P2 and was wondering if it matters if they get mixed matched. If it does matter, which one goes where? Also the same question for the secondary injector connectors, does order matter?

thank you guys

if it didn't matter then they wouldn't be labeled 1 and 2. injectors don't just fire randomly so the plugs go where they are supposed to go so they fire when they are supposed to.

understood, do you know which one is injector 1 and 2 then for both primary and secondary injectors? I was looking at the official FD wiring diagram and that just lists them as primary front and rear. Pic attached for reference

come on man...... 1 goes to 1 and 2 goes to 2. P=Primary, S=Secondary, INJ=Injector. even if you couldn't put that together, you pulled up the wiring diagram and the wire colors are labeled. all you have to do is match the colors with the plug.

don’t see where you found 1 goes to 1 and so forth but I do see the color code in the diagram lol it’s right there. Thank you!

Rotor 1 is usually the front rotor, same as you would see for most inline-4 or inline-6 engines the front is number 1 and the rear is the highest number. That's a good idea to match the wire colors, too. Connecting the injector plugs to the wrong rotors would probably result in poor idle and poor throttle response (since the fuel would be sprayed about 180 degrees too late).

this is really good information and I appreciate it. I like learning the detail behind it too. Thank you

It's why I'm here. Just finished my fuel build and the injector plugs were swapped. I was going crazy.... Car sounded like a bridge port and was just running filthy.
