Power steering pump reservoir

My reservoir may have a crack in it, I found this one on Atkins rotary,

95 Rx7 Power Steering Pump Tank (FD01-32-690)

Does anyone know if it would fit a 93 should I find my tank has a crack after I take it off.

First off, that tank should fit. I think they may have revised in in 95 or something, I don't believe there are any differences.

Email Ray Crowe to double-check and he can most likely beat their price.

That said, that's a LOT of money for a tank and you can probably get a good used PS pump for not much.

Also I don't think I've ever seen a cracked tank unless something really crazy happened to the pump (like it was dropped when it was out of the car). They don't crack. The small hose (like 2-3" long) on the side frequently has a seeping leak, though.

Thanks Dale:
We replaced that small hose with some hose from Napa, it seemed to match well with the one we took off,
but the resivoire started leaking again after a month or so.
I did get a OEM replacement for that small hose.
I also use a camera to look underneith at the bung connection and did not see any cracks.

Check your hoses and fittings, they are much more likely to give out than the tank. My hose with the metal fitting on it leaked for the longest time so I just ended up replacing both of the hoses.

One of the guys at PWR locally did make and sell an alloy tank for the p/s to try and defeat weeps from the hose. I've seen one of the Japanese tuners recently was offering something similar. That might be your best bet to try to reduce the leaks.....never seen a stock one that's been in use completely dry!

I was afraid this would be a problem, the OEM hose doesnt really fit well either.
