Opinions on this aftermarket logo for rear of car?

Has anyone used one of these on their FD or seen one actually on a car?

I have an Effini logo in the center, but still need to cover the three holes where the "mazda" logo was located. Opinions would be welcomed!

My opinion is why would you debadge, only to rebadge right over the original and correct emblem?

Weld and paint the holes to do a proper debadge or put the proper emblem back on. That's probably going to be the general consensus.

Great question! Original badges we're lost, and I really don't want to weld on a freshly painted car.

weld.... i would like to see someone weld the rear bumper where the old badges were. i think it would look pretty cool =D

but as for that badge.... ive never used it but i have bought an ebay brand badge before and it sucks terribly. i would advise against buying it.

I don't think welding a plastic bumper would work out too well.

I'm pretty sure OEM badges are still available.

Whoops...what a dingdong. I thought they were mounted to the sheetmetal like on the older cars.

LOL I assume that you meant "weld" in the figurative sense! But yeah, ain't gonna repaint. Sounds like the OEM Mazda is my best bet for filling the holes.

^It's off-topic, there are plastic welders but I doubt a professional would weld to fill those holes. I think there is a filler specific for bumper covers but obviously it would still require re-finishing.

I'm with cr-rex, those Chinese emblems are cheezy and probably wouldn't last in summer sun. I've never had the large stick-on "RX-7" on the back of my car (wasn't there when I bought it) and always kinda preferred that look with just the small "MAZDA" anyway.

I wish I could find a small "RX-7" that is abouut the size of the little "mazda" logo to place over the holes.

Thumbs up

Yup, welding the plastic rear bumper may be problematic

On my old Vintage Red R1 I opted to cover the holes with a nice new '2015 Edition' RX-7 emblem..... I'm going to do the same thing on my Brilliant Black '95 car too

Note that this is an OEM Emblem created from combining the RX-8 and CX-7 ones together

I have the triangle badge on the front and rear to replace the toilet bowl and I used the efini portion of an oem set of badges to cover up the holes. I like to think that I used the best mix of oem badging that will confuse the general public, lol.

Have the Efini emblem already. I hadn't considered this but like it. Other than the engine I can't think of any other "MAZDA" on my car.

Agree, plus the added weight makes the car slower.

RX7.com has the Efini badges in stock, I just ordered a set for my freshly painted FD. My only problem is that the center badge is chrome, but the right side badge set is gray. I may pull both and paint them black.

I really do like Goodfella's idea on combining the RX-8 and CX-7. I seriously considered this for my car. Works especially well with the Flying M.
