For those who have questions regarding importing a car legally into the US.. I have replied to your PM's and here are the links to get you started.
https://www.cbp.gov/trade/basic-impo.../importing-car
Specific EPA authorized importers of non conforming vehicles that are eligible to be modified to conform. Contact them about specific cars and costs. Ask plenty of questions but also read the law for yourself. It's your responsibility.
https://www.epa.gov/sites/production.../420f15030.pdf
All it takes is to read thru the links and inform yourself on the law. If you don't inform yourself on the laws regarding the correct procedure then expect the worst.
If you are over your head you should consider not attempting this.
Someone mentioned a company that isn't on the authorized list. Either that company is using one of these authorized importers and just making themselves a middle man with a flashy marketing front or maybe they aren't following the rules.
You should probably find that out if you were thinking of using them.
Again it pays to do actual research into this.
Commenting on specific companies without having any real insight or experience or knowing all the facts isn't responsible. If you have a question about them and thier business practices then get to work. If I had any experience with them I would share it.
Speaking about how someone's car was crushed/seized and not having the entire story or cause behind this doesn't really add to the conversation. The only value I see is that there are consequences when you get it wrong, don't follow the rules. Consider it a public service announcement or whatever value you find in that information.
Was there any actual fraud that took place? Those are unknowns and bringing them up as any sort of evidence to argue a point is anecdotal. Any questions regarding how it's done are largely answered for those with real interest by just reading the links.
My advice is to take your time before entering into this process. Make sure you keep your documents organized and keep digital copies as well as hard paper copies of everything.
I organized my paperwork in 2 seperate folders. One federal and one state.
My state requires documentation was almost 3x more extensive. They wanted copies of all the federal documentation as well as plenty of their own. Each state is different so be sure that your state doesn't have laws in place prohibiting the import or titling of the car. Just because it can come into the country doesn't mean it can be legally registered in your state.
If after you actually take the time to go thru all of that Information and you still have questions you can PM me.
I posted last year my experience on the V8 swap site for those interested in more detail about my actual experience and thoughts on the process.

Aaaannnndddd.... You're (apparently) mad at me, why?
Sorry Aaron, but I really don't think you've got any valid justification for anger. If you're butt-hurt about getting banned from RCC, well... That has nothing to do with me. If you're butt-hurt because I sent you an honest, and respectful, PM in response to your reaching out to me over there, well, sorry... The advice I gave you (know your audience) was solid, and just because you like to copy/paste stuff all over the place so you can prop up your own ego with the adoration of poorly informed drift fanboi's, doesn't mean it is going to be well received outside of those circles (again, know your audience).
Take the stick out of your *** bud, I've got no beef with you, and I have better things to do than get angry
On a side note, since I'm sure you're eagerly waiting for my response... Did you ever try out that 9174? How is the response compared to the 8374? I don't follow your build thread, but I'm genuinely curious how it worked.
Definitely Not Mad. Just calling out A drama Lover and Hypocrite when I see one. I didn't get banned from Rotary Car Club. I had Phil Delete my Thread Because Yourself and the Largest troll of them all were butt buddies and Moderators of the forum. A broken system. So I decided I'd rather spend time on Other avenues

You may have asked Phil to delete your account, but you were definitely banned from there. I'm guessing that if you did request to have your own account deleted it was simply as a result of your ego not being able to handle the fact that you were far from being the smartest person in the room.
You got called out for trying to explain EGT and EMAP to a handful of senior owners, builders/tuners and mechanical engineers as if it were some sort of revelation. You tried to explain your way out of it by confirming that you generally post for people less knowledgeable than yourself (I've always thought that if you're the smartest person in any given room, than you're in the wrong place... You seem to gravitate towards those situations though). When I responded to your PM, telling you that we're cool with that, just just be aware of your audience, you apparently took that as a direct insult and (it would seem) got all butt-hurt and left.
Clearly you're unable to take any form of criticism which, in my experience, indicates a notable degree of emotional immaturity. If you want to call me hypocritical that's cool... So long as you're able to acknowledge the fact that you're superficial and you allow your own decisions to be based on appearance as opposed to actual performance (Lexan "fire-wall", WG's out the hood, pictures of you posing on equipment you don't operate, sycophantic name-dropping, etc., etc., etc.)
I'll go ahead and attach our (brief) conversation so that others can judge whether or not I was rude and hypocritical to you there..

Yeah, for the most part BAW is the bulk of the flow over there. We all left when we got banned for tearing Mark/YZF (remember him?) a new one for going into BAW and talking **** to us directly. I'm trying to remember the name of the mod/admin over here that was power tripping. I think he ended up getting demoted/banned himself eventually.
I could really care less about the politics involved, I just like to bullshit with those guys. Though apparently it was a cardinal sin to point out how HC's wild theories about water evaporating in sunlight vs. shadow, or windspeed increases lowering ambient temperatures many degrees below freezing, etc., etc., were complete and utter bullshit. When it was made obvious that our contributions were not appreciated over here we chose not to contribute anymore.
Just like his mentor, it seems that Mannykiller cannot abide being critiqued by others. Pity... Because that's typically how you grow better.

I find it ironic that twice now you've come in here trying to call me out as being a "drama lover" while you yourself are doing nothing but starting drama with members more senior than yourself. Funny you should call me a hypocrite while being hypocritical in the same breath. Your personal insults towards me are unsubstantiated, it makes me think that you may actually be projecting your own qualities (which you may or may not be proud of) onto me.

I will say I get a kick out if each and every one if you're replies though.
