The clear lights? I see on Buyee from time to time, but when I go to buy the site fails. There are huge factories in Taiwan and China churning out after market taillights for all kinds of cars. But these seem to be NLA.

The "real" option catalogue ones for the front are getting bid up to $800 a set.

That's crazy! I'm glad my FD came with those sidemarker lights - hope the car's PO didn't pay that kind of a stupid price for them!

Two running FD’s. It’s not impossible, just improbable.

We did another fun mountain road drive back on the 3rd, stopped by Bishop's Castle for anyone that knows about it.

Looks like a great time and a really cool place to go for a drive! I’ve got mainly straight roads and 90 degree corners around here. Here’s one from a recent shake down drive.

I remember that drive. We used to have a CRN "super car cruise" back in the early 2000s which would either go from I70 through Deckers and end up in the springs or do the Bishops Castle run like that. I miss those roads, nothing nearly as cool here in Florida. Here is a shot of one of them from 2005.

That looks like 470 right next to Bandimere (this is their last year btw, they're closing that track the end of Oct).

We've done the Deckers run many times, that was the go-to route for many years but I found some other really good ones further south. I've also done a drive out to Monarch and some west of Loveland. Several years ago my buddy (lOOkatme) and I drove from C Springs all the way to Estes Park on only curvy back roads except for a little jaunt on I-70 we were forced to take. It took 9 hours total. For years I've been wanting to start an event here similar to DGRR because we have so many good roads here, basically making the whole front range part of the event.

This is from 7s day last year down near Rye about to do the Bishop's Castle run.

When did you leave here? Bishop's Castle has probably changed a lot since you were here. I got here in 08 and it's changed a lot just since then.

That picture was right next to Bandimere like you said. We got off there and went up Moris RD. I saw that about Bandimere. Really sad to see it go, I grew up racing there and that is where I met my wife. We were out there 2 years ago over 4th of July so we got to attend one last Night of Fire and Thunder. It is still one of the best drag strips in the country, you really can't beat the layout. Unfortunately all those neighborhoods knowingly moving near a drag strip somehow are able to repeatedly close these things down.

There really are some good roads in Colorado, unfortunately they are usually in Terrible shape compared to other states, especially comparing them to the Smokey Mountain area like near the Dragon. I still have a cabin up near 11 Mile reservoir and Spinny Mountain. We left Colorado in 2006 and moved here to Florida, have not looked back. Its really sad to see what Denver has become. It is starting to look like San Francisco with all the tent cities and crime. My grandfather regularly has his cars broken into and stolen.

I'm hoping to make it out to DGRR one of these years as well. Kid functions have been stopping me these last couple years but I'll make it some day.

Here are a few shots from that same run in 2005. I also have a video of our 2004 cruise which turned into a "Survivor Cruise" because we had an R33 blow an engine, Supra launch his intercooler pipe out the front of it and a few other cars break along the way. Photo and Video quality is poor because this was a 20+ year old digital camera and the video wasn't HD back then so I think its like 480p or something.

To help stay on topic his was my FD at the time. My oil pump had just died on me so I was riding Shotgun in the wife's S14 for this run.

Trying out random wheels is one way to change the look of the FD without changing the FD. Picked up a set of '90s era BBS Bugatti tribute wheels (EB110 replicas). They hark back to the '30's Bugatti , himself, designed wheels which were some of the first actual magnesium wheels, which in turn hark back the shape of wood post spoke wheels. Holes also resembles rotors (bonus). Didn't know how'd they look until they were on. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised in this case.

Retro to the beginning of time.

A little rough around the edges and the RX-8 wheels gotta go, but I'm very pleased to have been able to scoop this up!

I had almost abandoned the dream, but got lucky!

I'll start a build thread eventually, but in the meantime you'll find me behind the local Wendy's.

Wheels make the machine. Seems you are done. No further "improvements" required. What part of the country is that? Cold lake?

So true......With just a nice set of wheels to update the FD, in stock form, this has to be the most beautiful car from Japan.....Bound to be a 'Milestone' car someday.....I don't think you can improve perfection!

I have never been on track before! And now I am itching to go back out. My battery tray solution did not arrive in the mail on time and my temporary solution did not survive all the sessions, so the 7 had to retire early.
