Fun little fact, for the JDM market the side markers are actually only reflectors. I didn’t think they would do that. It’s not until one of the local guys here who imported a RHD FD asked me how I changed my front and rear side markers to house lights. I looked at him as if he was pulling my leg. He was actually serious.
rest assure I asked him to turn on his parking lights and none of the sidemarkers turned on. I found that odd and intriguing.

Im not too sure about redbul‘s location of his bolted on side markers. I think his district mandates though? We don’t have that issue here in Ontario. However you can see how the 99spec bumper leaves that area kinda off putting.. It’s the only reason I don’t run that bumper. Kinda picky with keeping things symmetrical.

The DRL rule is a federal rule, haha. It was one of the differences between USDM and CdnDM, being that Canadian FD had DRL wiring.. The wording of the rule is a little vague so some people ignore it and others just apply a reflector from Canadian Tire. But the police here don't much care about legal semantics.

The key is to avoid giving them any reason to issue a V.I. (Vehicle inspection order.) Get a VI and you are at the mercy of the shop to pick over everything.

It has essentially wiped out the tuner car scene in Vancouver (outlying area's police are a little more lenient).

are you speaking about the fender “orange” light? Mine is rhd and blinks with the turn signal from factory.

yes and no. The one on the fenders blink (for Rhd vehicles) The ones at the corners of the bumpers are just reflectors for JDM models. For North America the corners are actually lit. They’re part of the parking lights.

If it is an RHD in Canada, someone likely switched in a blinking light into the reflectors to comply with Canadian rules. The "refllctors" have the structure to receive a bulb, but the hole for the bulb is blanked out. People often carve out the blanking plastic, insert a bulb and tie the wires into the front combination light.

Got down to the dyke today between record rainstorms. Hope the river does not come over the banks tonight.

Do you feel the OEM sideskirts add some stability/downforce?

They look sharo!

Something to brighten up a winter Monday...... my '95 FD with newly mounted Fikse Profil 801 and Yokohama A052. Pic was taken about two months ago before snow hit NJ. I believe this is the first FD with this particular style of Fikses mounted (and with their new Cerakote finish), and if you're planning on running these tires on the street be prepared for them to pick up and fling any road debris you roll over
