The official 'My FD3S' picture thread. READ THE RULES!
1/50 to 1/100 shutter speeds should do the trick.
Cars looks great, love this shot. The light from the LED license plate lights is too bright though, I can't stand that wide trail of light that follows behind the car. This photo used a longer exposure so I'm sure it's a bit exaggerated in this shot, but eliminating that "underglow" effect from those lights is something I will fix on my own cars one day, haha.

Thanks RE-Mamamiya!
RCCAZ 1, awesome photos, love how clean the FDs look. You just needed a Montego Blue, Brilliant Black and Vintage Red to have a complete set of factory color FDs. If you ever need a VR for a shot, I know of a pretty sweet looking one in PHX area.

One more pic of Dregg100, just to comply with thread rules! Note the ground clearance on his 4 inch exhaust

really? my sweet spots always been 1/30 panning.. i guess if theyre side by side rolling those settings are money?
Not exactly sure of the specifics, but I do know he was about 30 feet away from the side of the road mounted on a tripod and using a fairly long focal length lens. We cruised by at about 40 mph 4 or 5 times. He chose the best of the bunch to use as his final pics.
BTW,
RCCAZ, awesome shots man!

^Thanks, yea not bad huh.. last picture is actully taken by my self from iphone 4 not even 4S, it came out nice but not near you guys level need to get into cameras, nice drifting pictures! love the second shot the fender and tire is killing me lol
speaking of rolling shots, heres 1 of my favorites

In, my experience i couldnt get the background to blur with the shutter speed over 1/30. So my assumption was if 1/50 shutter speed was the money shot then I figured there was a camera car along side so the background would be blurred (if they were traveling at a higher speed)
Dan you really need to get a life besides trolling my post and twisting what I say. Ironic you have all these smart *** remarks to say to me online but not to my face.
*tough guy rant over* hahahaSo next time I'm in your vicinity, you want me to come up to you and make a random comment about a thread you posted in a few weeks prior? hahaha Why you mad?
But seriously, there are photography forums you can go read to your hearts desire about panning shots, lenses and exposure settings. I figured a guy who posts decent photos would know a thing or two camera settings. As I originally stated each situation will be different (focal length, vehicle speed, distance from the subject, etc...) I am by no means a professional photographer and don't claim to be, but the person who took this pic is!

Time to get back to my life.
I THINK we've moved passed that issue. Or how about when I refused to talk about the whole situation to a bunch of guys from NY then one of them went and lied and said I was running my mouth? Which situation are you talking about exactly? Funny how word spreads without actually knowing the truth isn't it? Also funny how this is the first time I'm posting about this on the internet.Isn't this the post pics thread?
I don't post **** on the internet I wouldn't say to someones face and I'd probably be more sarcastic in person about it. lol, I don't even fight, this isn't supposed to be some tough guy post hahaha. Some people get me, some don't, oh well.
