No Rev light & beep?
Not that it’s a big deal but I’ve noticed other FDs have a Rev light and a Beep when approaching redline. My 94 FD does neither, is it simply something that previous owner or a mechanic disconnected? At what RPM should I get the beep and light? I can’t find anything on this in the Manuel’s or wiring diagrams. Just looking to expand my knowledge and get pointed in the right direction. Thanks to anyone with some helpful feed back it’ll be greatly appreciated.

There is no light, just a beep. The FC's had Shift Up lights but there's no visual light on the FD.
The beeper is in CPU #2.
This is one of those things that generally just works and people haven't done much troubleshooting on it. Mine didn't work for a while, I think it was my CPU#2 was flaky. Also a flaky instrument cluster can cause it not to work as well.
I think the tach feeds a signal to CPU#2 then it determines when to beep. Shop manual will have more info on the circuit. Body electrical manual may have a procedure for this system.
