Bought new in 1995 as a 1994 leftover. No one was buying these at the time, and I remember the dealership took 10k off the list price. That day I walked out the door with a brand new 1994 RX7 R2 for 30k.
Wow, how times have changed, and I still miss that car to this day. It truly was incredible on the track.
Here’s a pic from the summer of ‘96 at Rockingham raceway. Still had the street wheels and tires on it that I drove down to the track with. Stock wheels and track tires were brought down in a friend’s truck.
