The white thing is a common ground for a bunch of whatever that runs to it. Why would you want to do that with the fuse box? It will reach the other side of the frame with no modification. There's no point in snaking it through that hole
I don't think there's an easy way save for pulling all the wire pins out and putting it back together.
Also, PROTIP - make sure it stays mounted upright like it is stock. It's designed for any moisture that gets in to drain out the bottom. If it's sideways or upside-down the relays can get water in them and rust. Seen it happen many times.
